Wedding Day-Of Details

Don’t forget to have a little fun here! It’s where your personalities really come through. With custom design, we make it personal, beautiful, functional, cohesive, and intentional.

Seating Charts and Escort Cards

We need to get your guests to their table. Do you need a seating chart or escort cards? The biggest factor is whether you need to designate each guest’s meal choice to the catering staff.

  • Seating Chart: Generally, this is a large sign that lists guests either alphabetically or by table. They simply look at the sign and then head to their table. If you need to designate a meal choice and you choose a seating chart, you will ALSO need to have place cards that are already placed at each place setting. If you don’t need to designate a meal choice, you can choose either escort cards or a seating chart. And make it fun with a fabric seating chart or a hand lettered mirror!

  • Escort Cards: These are commonly tented cards with each guest’s name and table assignment, and they can be arranged on a table for guests to pick up. You can easily designate meal choices with these cards - just let your guests know to place their card at their place setting. I love to make cards different colors for different meals or add a different accent, like a ribbon. Make it fun with champagne scrolls or drink tags or even personalized Lego!

Place Cards

I don’t like to play favorites, but if I’m being honest, place cards are usually my favorite thing to work on! Everybody loves to see their name written beautifully, and it’s such a special way to make each guest feel welcomed. They make such an impact and easily double as favors!

  • A few of my favorite place cards:

    • Foiled calligraphy on silk or velvet ribbon

    • Classic calligraphy on beautiful paper is always elegant.

    • Calligraphy on anything NOT paper - tiles, sea glass, magnolia leaves, rocks, etc - is so much fun!

    • Laser cut calligraphy, painted to match your decor

Printed Materials

Creating printer items like programs and menus are not just helpful to your guests, but are wonderful keepsakes after the wedding. You’ll love to look back on these years after your wedding, I promise. With custom design, everything from your seating chart to your printed materials and signage will feel cohesive and intentional.

Signage

Signage can be lots of fun, and it is often functional too (directions, bar menus, etc). Since most signage is single use (like a welcome sign), my biggest rule is to try to make it recyclable or so pretty that you hang it in your home after the wedding. I avoid foam core, acrylic, and other non-recyclable materials and instead opt for paper that can be framed or hung, fabric make from renewable materials, or mirrors that can be used again and again.

  • Welcome Signage: I offer laser cut signage that you will want to hang in your home after your wedding!

  • Bar Menus: I love fabric bar signs draped over the bar or a sweet watercolor menu in a beautiful frame.

  • Other Signage: Directional signs, ceremony signage, cards & gifts signs, memory signage - all look great on fabric, paper or a mirror.
